Halloween Specialty Drinks Pt. 1
Monster Mocktails

Whether you're having a Halloween party, or just want to make dinner fun and a little extra spooky, don't forget the Monster Mocktails. Everyone will ooh and ahh over the creative and colorful drinks. Don't just settle for apple cider or even homemade root beer. These are the drinks that will be tricks AND treats.


The Cransylvania Twist

Cranberry Juice
Strawberry SOBe
Red Gatorade
Crushed Ice
Black sugar
Black and white striped Straws
Glasses
Karo syrup

To make drink, lightly go around the rim of glass with karo syrup. Dip the rim into black sugar. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour in beverages, starting with the highest sugar content finishing with the lowest. Layers will separate and the black sugar from rim will give it a cool effect. Add straw and serve.


The Yummy Mummy

SOBe Piña Colada
White Gatorade
Sprite
Crushed ice
White sugar
Striped straw
Dry ice
Glasses
Karo syrup


To make drink, lightly go around the rim of glass with karo syrup. Dip the rim into white sugar. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour in beverages, starting with the highest sugar content finishing with the lowest. Add a small piece of dry ice, it will give it a cool effect. Add straw and serve. ( Let the dry ice evaporate before consuming.)



Bubbling Bloody Bones

Diet Black Cherry Soda
White Peppermint lozenge candies
Dry ice

To make drink, crush the white lozenge candies and add to the glass of diet soda. The diet soda has a reaction when sugar is added, so the candies will cause it to froth up and foam over. Add a piece of dry ice and the dry ice bubbles will rise through the floating bone bits and frothy foam at the top.

Spooky Sippers

Drinks often get overlooked on Halloween. But there are a few that will get more oohs and ahhs than that crazy costume Uncle Bill was wearing last year. Yeah, we all have one of those Uncle Bills. Set up a drink station if you want, and then make these some spooky suggestions sure to thrill...when properly chill.

The Dirty Werewolf

Cream Soda
Diet Rootbeer or
Diet Coke
Coconut foam*
Crushed ice
Raw sugar
Karo syrup
Glasses


To make drink, lightly go around the rim of glass with karo syrup. Dip the rim into raw sugar. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour in beverages, starting with the highest sugar content finishing with the lowest. Layers will separate, top with coconut foam. Add straw and serve.

* to make coconut foam, whip 1 cup whipping cream with 1 tablespoon Coconut Syrup or 1/4 cup confectioners sugar and 1/2 tsp coconut extract


The Creepy Colada

SOBe Piña Colada with added neon green food coloring to desired color
Green Gatorade
Key Lime Soda
Crushed Ice
Green rock candy swizzle stick
Purple sugar
Karo syrup
Glasses


To make drink, lightly go around the rim of glass with karo syrup. Dip the rim into purple sugar. Fill glass with crushed ice. Pour in beverages, starting with the highest sugar content finishing with the lowest. Layers will separate and it will give it a cool effect. Add straw and serve with swizzle stick.

The Dirty Little Devil

Apple Soda
Cinnamon syrup
Coconut syrup
Cream
Cinnamon Sugar

To make drink, fill glass with crushed ice, add apple soda. Stir in cinnamon and coconut syrups to taste. (approx. 1 Tbs each) Top with whipped cream or just pour cream on the top. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
